The volume of these scams is astounding. Right now, I have saved over 400 of them. This is how important it is to me to help keep even one person safe. I'm behind, I repeat myself, and am working five part-time jobs--don't mean to be whiny. Just asking y'all to bear with me.
I laugh, joke and make fun of the scammers, sass them back with silly replies, but I do take it seriously. Scams and scammers are no joking matter, really. They are a dangerous lot, and know that if you reply to a scam, you could be playing with fire. I do it only to prove a point--that scammers lie, they are not bright (which makes them dangerous) and they have only one thing in mind--your money. Unfortunately, I don't get paid to do this--I'd do it all the time if that were the case, but, alas...sigh.
Anyhoo, I still plan to keep on posting and poking fun at scammers whenever I can, but I will be overhauling my blog. I'm trying to learn a few things more. As my son tells me often, "Mom, you know just enough about computers to get yourself in trouble"! So, if something looks weird, or I don't copy something, this is why. So, please bear with me, and feel free to share your thoughts, scams that you've received or any ideas you may have for me to improve.
The main thing is to "Be smart. Be safe. Be informed."
