Names To Be Aware Of

Most of the people mentioned here are honest, hardworking, decent citizens of their respective countries and jobs. However, there are scammers, spammers and "fraudsters" out there that are not only taking advantage of our slumping economy and the war in Iraq, but have on compunction about using the names of prominent people.

If you receive an e-mail from the people mentioned below, check out the e-mail address, and how much information they are demanding, as well as the salutations of the spam. Business people just don't waste their precious time with "Hello my good friend" and "Yours Faithfully"--they just don't have the time or energy for this stuff. And if you receive something that looks official, remember that anyone can forge headers, copy and paste photos and make a spam look genuine. Also note that unless you have done business with the Central Bank of Nigeria, Hang Seng Bank, etc. they are not going to e-mail just any ordinary citizen. The FBI doesn't just go around sending out e-mails, either. They don't have the time and manpower as it is! And remember that they deal in upholding the law, not breaking it, and if you read these FBI scams carefully, you can tell that that's exactly what they're doing.

Look carefully at these names, keep them in mind, and if you receive a spam from them, just delete it. Be smart. Be safe. "Be informed". Knowledge is power against any spammer.
